We use 100% of the raw material of wood – starting from the bark through to the very last chip. This concept of self-sufficient and integrated production is unique in the pallet industry in Germany. We make sure that we use the wood in the best possible way: Alongside the main product of timber, the bark is converted in the company’s own power plants into CO2-neutral energy, while sawdust and wood chips are used for pallet blocks, high-quality briquettes and pellets.
Thanks to this business model and the regional purchase of the raw material from long-standing partners, we can produce and deliver reliably even under difficult economic conditions. At the same time, our self-sufficient, integrated production enables us to offer a wide range of products in the areas of pallets, timber, garden and milled products. Together with the company’s own production of certified special nails for pallets and the green electricity that we produce ourselves, we are thus crisis-proof.
Our sustainable products protect the forest habitat by only using as much of the renewable raw material as we really need. The wood for our products comes from certified and largely regional forests that are reforested.
This is how we live up to our claim of sustainability day after day.
A large part of our timber production is processed into pallets at our own facilities. The quantities exceeding this are sold as fixed lengths.
Our boards and squared timber, just like the planed goods, are mainly made of spruce and pine and are available in various lengths.
The wood chips created we are efficiently processed into sawdust in sawdust in an energy-efficient manner and used as input material for high-quality pellets and briquettes as well as for the production of pressed chip blocks.
A small proportion of the wood chips is also sold on to the pulp and chipboard industry.
Tree bark is a valuable raw material. We take the logs together with the bark, from which we generate heat and electricity in an ecologically sensible way. For this purpose, the peeled bark is burned in our three company-owned EEG-certified biomass combined heat and power plants. In this way, we utilise the raw material directly where it is produced.
Thanks to the high quality of the fuels and the highly efficient CHP plants, we thus generate bio-energy, which we use in the factory for drying our products such as timber, pallets and sawdust, among other things. The sustainable green electricity is also fed into the public grid. The amount produced is enough to supply 30,000 households with electricity. This is our contribution to a sustainable CO2-neutral-neutral electricity supply in Germany.
The wood chips we produce are processed into sawdust in special hammer mills in an energy-efficient manner and used as input material for high-quality pellets and briquettes as well as for the production of pressed chip blocks.
A small proportion of the wood chips is also sold on to the pulp and chipboard industry.
Palletised and planed in various fixed lengths for national and international customers
Stakes, palisades, fence slats and many other products for the home garden
The wood for our products comes exclusively from sustainably managed forests and for the most part from within a radius of 150 to 200 km.
We use every trunk 100 %, down to the last chip. In this way, we conserve resources, make ourselves less dependent on external suppliers and service providers and make our contribution to a sustainable green electricity supply.
